Close to three months back, we went for brunch somewhere in the north. And since we were already in the north, we took an impromptu drive up to Curl Curl beach. I’ve never been there before and it was nice to explore parts of Sydney that I’ve never been before even though I wasn’t dressed for the beach. It is a really nice beach with big waves and an outdoor beach pool and there were actually not many people around that day. I’m guessing that the cold weather was why there were not that many people around. The weather was still pretty cold in mid September, even though it was already Spring time.
Not sure what’s up with the weather this year, but do you notice that the weather has been pretty crazy lately? It feels like there’s been a shift in the weather season.
Anyway, back to Curl Curl beach.. here are the photos I managed to took and also some photos of my ootd that day 🙂
We also went to one of the near by cliffs around Curl Curl before the beach. Didn’t spend too much time there since it was windy.
I really can’t wait for summer to come so that I can start wearing shorts out more often. I feel like I have way too many summer wear that needs to be worn! lol ;p
I actually thought I had blogged about this before but after going through my old posts, I just realised I only added the photo in for my profile photo but I didn’t actually post any of the other photos up!
If you’re unaware of what I’m talking about (heh.. what purple flowers???)…
The purple flowers I meant are from the Jacaranda trees. It blooms around this time every year and there are a number of streets in Sydney that has them. Actually, there are a lot of them. You just need to know where to find them and also where has enough to make the street look good.
Last year, we went to a couple of places around Sydney to take some pictures of the jacaranda trees and here are some of the photos.
Here are some shots from:
Oxford Street, Paddington.
McDougall Street, Kirribilli
Telopea Street, Redfern
Do you know anywhere else that has a street full of jacaranda trees and would be a great place to take photos of? Feel free to suggest some so that I can check them out this year or for next year! 🙂
Winter has come and gone and I still have not posted any of my autumn pictures from this year! I’m two seasons away!! >.<
I went on a day trip to the Blue Mountains sometime back in… May. And here are some shots from one of the housing areas in Blackheath. I really love the colors here. Especially when the sun shines through the leaves. How beautiful is nature!
What do you think? Which is your favourite season?
This is only part one of my Autumn pictures. I have another one coming which I took from the Blue Mountains Botanical Gardens. I’ll be posting them soon-ish.
The weather last Sunday was great. It wasn’t really cold and it was also pretty sunny. Since we had time after watching the Spider Man movie, we decided to head over to Centennial Park to feed the ducks again before the sun sets.
Here are some of the photos from Centennial Park’s Duck Pond.
Designers want me to dress like Spring, in billowing things. I don’t feel like Spring. I feel like a warm red Autumn. – Marilyn Monroe
Here’s a throwback photo of what I wore which I feel matches the quote above. I found the quote online while googling for autumn quotes to post up with an image. Found this rather interesting one and though I’d share it here 🙂
Did you guys noticed how time flew by so quickly? It’s already May 2017! We’re in the 5th month of the year and it feels like just not too long ago, we just started 2017. Why is it that as we get older, time is flying by us much faster? Or at least that’s what I’m feeling.
Is it because of our everyday routine life of work-home-work-home that goes on and on and on?
Browsing Instagram is making me feel very dissatisfied with my life. Everything is so routine and boring, while every thing I see on instagram are people on holidays and adventure, buying new things (clothing, gadgets etc). I really want a bit of that.
So I try to make myself feel a little more satisfied with my life by trying to go somewhere or do something near by. Whether it’s out brunching, or out at some rock cliffs just 15-20 mins drive away, at least it’s a change of scenery right?
Anyways, it’s now May. It’s autumn season!
I don’t see many brown leaves dropping that much yet over here at the moment. It could be the weather change since it hasn’t really been that cold yet this year. But it’s finally starting to…
I really want to head over to the Blue Mountains and take some pictures of the autumn season soon. Hopefully when we’re free to do so, the leaves have not fully fallen yet. If I don’t get the chance to, maybe I’ll blog some of my photos from last year instead.
Here’s a picture of my last year’s trip to Mount Wilson, Blue Mountain, taken in May 2016.
Last week, I was invited to my cousin’s 40th birthday party around Tennyson Point. Since we were there early, we went driving around the housing area and found this little spot. It looks quite relaxing to have a view like this to see every day. Don’t you think?
Another throwback of what I wore quite some time back. I don’t dress up very often and I find that most of my nice clothing are being kept in the cupboard and are hardly ever worn. I should try and dress up every now and then. Maybe I should take more OOTDs? Problem is that I always get too lazy to dress up especially on weekends since I don’t really do much. Or maybe I should make more plans and go out more often…
Here’s a picture that was taken in Darlinghurst last year, right new to a bottle shop. Thought it would be a good shot since I blend in with the wall! lol.
These pictures go way back to… probably the end of 2015.
I don’t take many outfit pictures that often. Reason for it is because I am usually pretty shy and I really don’t know how to pose for the camera. I get even more shy when there are people around and if I have to pose for a long time. I can do a 5 seconds pose. Anything longer than that… is pretty much a no-go and it will look quite unnatural. Unless I was shot candidly. Like these shots. *thumbs up to the photographer* 😉
