Hello again.

I’m testing whether the WordPress app lets me load up videos without having to upload through YouTube which I used to do. So much easier to just get things done over the phone these days…

Just found out a few awesome apps to use and it made me feel like creating some content again for my blog!

I know… I’m such a bad blogger who doesn’t update. Haha. But who cares. It’s not like there’s anyone who is interested in what I post here anyway. Otherwise I would have gotten messages from people asking me about it šŸ˜‚

Anyhoo, let’s try this again since I’m paying for my domain. It’s not like this is free… šŸ˜

Here’s a little video I made with an app called Jane and shared it on my Instagram Stories.

Went around and did a little furniture “window” shopping if there is such a thing over the weekend.

I’ve been getting quite a number of ads from Matt Blatt and thought maybe we can go and check them out. Didn’t know that they have quite a number of quirky stuff! šŸ˜‚

There were quite a number of animal statues there that were quite fun and funny to look at.

Anyway, will end here for now.

Til the next post!

Chinese New Year in Sydney

cny in sydney - red opera house

I’m not sure when it started but from what I gathered, every Chinese New Year, the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge will light up in red. It’s actually quite a nice change in scene.Ā There’s also the 12 zodiac sculptures lightings spread out around Sydney city for people to come by and have a look and also take photos of them.

On the first day of Chinese New Year this year, we went over to Circular Quay hoping to catch the fireworks.

Unfortunately, we were not standing at the right place to watch the fireworks and it was really disappointing. The usual place that we would usually go to would be the Overseas Terminal to catch the fireworks but there was a big cruise ship docking over there so we couldn’t get there.

So we stood in front of MCA thinking that we could see the fireworks above the Opera House, but nope, the fireworks were too low and everything was blocked by the Opera House. The only thing that we can see is some light popping behind it. It was such a disappointment. Pretty sure a whole lot of people were disappointed too. I saw so many people waiting at Circular Quay station “booking” their spot and waiting for the fireworks and from that view, you really can’t see much at all too.

Anyway, here are some photos from my first day of Chinese New Year in Sydney. There were no house visits to go to but at least there is some celebration going on here and that I also managed toĀ snap a few good photos of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House šŸ™‚

Year’s Best – Best of Nine

Best of Nine photos

It’s already the 14th day of 2018! Time’s going by way too quickly. I can’t believe my 2 weeks break has come and gone. And I’ve already been back to work for a week. Even with the two weeks break from work, it sure doesn’t feel like it’s long enough.

Anyway, back to the topic of the blog, here are a couple best of nine photos that I’ve taken and posted on Instagram.
Thank you for all the love and support. <3

I realised that my sayinghello account’s 2017 best of nine has quite a number of food photos comparedĀ toĀ my 2016’s best of nine. Six out of nine photos from 2017 were about food or the cafes that I’ve visited. Whereas in 2016, my photos were mostly from exploring and going out. I’ve also noticed that I’ve posted less in 2017. I think I’m getting a little lazyĀ this last year on postings. Should really buck up and start posting a little more often than before.

So stay tune and follow my insta accounts for more! šŸ™‚

Oh, and also…

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Curl Curl Beach

curl curl beach sayinghello

Close toĀ three months back, weĀ went for brunch somewhere in the north. And since we were already in the north, we took an impromptu drive up to Curl Curl beach. I’ve never been there before and it was nice to explore parts of Sydney that I’ve never been beforeĀ even though I wasn’t dressed for the beach. It is a really nice beach with big waves and an outdoor beach poolĀ and there were actually not many people around that day. I’m guessing that the cold weather was why there were not that many people around. The weather was still pretty cold in mid September, even though it was already Spring time.

Not sure what’s up with the weather this year, but do you notice that the weather has been pretty crazy lately? It feels like there’s been a shift in the weather season.

Anyway, back to Curl Curl beach.. here are the photos I managed to took and also some photos of my ootd that day šŸ™‚

We also went to one of the near by cliffs around Curl Curl before the beach. Didn’t spend too much time there since it was windy.

I really can’t wait for summer to come so that I can start wearing shorts out more often. I feel like I have way too many summer wear that needs to be worn! lol ;p

Peace Lilies

peace lily the white project

the white project peace lilies

I bought a peace lily plant quite some time ago thinking that it will help with the air and also absorb some moisture from my apartment.Ā I had actually research quite a bit about plants that are good for the home and for helping with “cleaning” the air as well as absorb moisture and prevent mold…

The peace lily plant seems to be the nicest looking and easiest to maintain. There’s no need for much water or direct light which is good for me since I keep forgetting to water it or move it to a sunny spot in my place.

When I firstĀ brought it home, it really grew and there were so many flowers popping out that made me really happy thinking that woah, do I have green fingers or what! This plant is seriously EASY TO HAVE! I am pretty sure at one point I had more than 10 of the lilies growing at the same time. The leaves were growing really well too. Looking very green and healthy.

Then came a few months later, where I do not have any more peace lilies growing. Just… green leaves. And then I thought, shit.. did I kill the plant? It is still growing healthily though. The leaves are still very green but there’s just no flowers. Maybe it’s off season?

Then came one day where I have ONE lily growing! OK! It’s not dead!

Jacaranda Season

backphoto jacaranda street

It’s the Jacaranda purple flowers season again!

I actually thought I had blogged about this before but after going through my old posts, I just realised I only added the photo in for my profile photo but I didn’t actually post any of the other photos up!

If you’re unaware of what I’m talking aboutĀ (heh.. what purple flowers???)

The purple flowers I meant are from the Jacaranda trees. It blooms around this time every year and there are a number of streets in Sydney that has them. Actually, there are a lot of them. You just need to know where to find them and also where has enough to make the street look good.

Last year, we went to a couple of places around Sydney to take some pictures of theĀ jacaranda trees and here are some of the photos.

Here are some shots from:

Do you know anywhere else that has a street full of jacaranda trees and would be a great place to take photos of? Feel free to suggest some so that I can check them out this year or for next year! šŸ™‚

Autumn Pictures Part 2 – Blue Mountains Botanic Garden

Hello hello!

I’m back with the second part of my autumn pictures that was taken this year from the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens. Since it was a last minute one day trip, there was not enough time to go through the whole Botanic Garden over there. But I think we managed to cover half of the place? And managed to take some pretty good photos too.

It’s the first of September!! Spring time!

Winter has come and gone and I still have not posted any of my autumn pictures from this year! I’m two seasons away!! >.<

I went on a day trip to the Blue Mountains sometime back in… May. And here are some shots from one of the housing areas in Blackheath. I really love the colors here. Especially when the sun shines through the leaves. How beautifulĀ is nature!

TWP: Lazy Days

So I’m really back dated with my posts. I know I said that I’ll be posting more soon but I ended up being lazy and side tracked with mobile phone games, people visiting, watching tv shows and movies.

In the last few months, basically since the start of winter, I’ve been spending a whole lot of time playing Tsum Tsum (click here for iOS and here for Android). I’ve also spent quite a lot of time binge watching tv shows.

Since we signed up for Netflix in June, I have watched the complete season of Girlboss, The Crown, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and season 1 of Daredevil. Currently watching – Daredevil season 2 and Limitless. On top of that, I’m also watching Game of Thrones which is not on Netflix. Once I’m done with Daredevil, the next series to catch up on is The Defenders. Anyone watching any of those shows that I just mentioned?

Anyway, here’s a picture of some tea that I had a while back. Seems fitting for theĀ Lazy Days title of this post ;P

tea and paper flowers

These paper daisy flowers are actually quite nice to have. The last quite a while before everything starts to wither. Even when it does wither, some of the colors are still there! I’m gonna try buy these flowers again the next time I see them.

It’s 1.06AM at the moment. So I’m gonna stop here and call it a night.

Good night!

Sunday – Centennial Park’s Duck Pond

The weather last Sunday was great. It wasn’t really cold and it was also pretty sunny. Since we had time after watching the Spider Man movie, we decided to head over to Centennial Park to feed the ducks again before the sun sets.

Here are some of the photos from Centennial Park’s Duck Pond.
