Jacaranda Season

backphoto jacaranda street

It’s the Jacaranda purple flowers season again!

I actually thought I had blogged about this before but after going through my old posts, I just realised I only added the photo in for my profile photo but I didn’t actually post any of the other photos up!

If you’re unaware of what I’m talking about (heh.. what purple flowers???)

The purple flowers I meant are from the Jacaranda trees. It blooms around this time every year and there are a number of streets in Sydney that has them. Actually, there are a lot of them. You just need to know where to find them and also where has enough to make the street look good.

Last year, we went to a couple of places around Sydney to take some pictures of the jacaranda trees and here are some of the photos.

Here are some shots from:

Oxford Street, Paddington.

Do you know anywhere else that has a street full of jacaranda trees and would be a great place to take photos of? Feel free to suggest some so that I can check them out this year or for next year! 🙂

iPhone X

iPhone X purchase thank you

Earlier today, I just bought myself the new iPhone X. And I think I just burn a hole in my bank account. This is by far one of the most expensive thing I’ve spent on myself… and I really hope it’s worth it.

I’ve never actually bought a new gen phone right when it came out before. This will be my first. In the past, all my phones that I bought or signed up through the plans from the telcos were roughly a few months after the phone was out. And usually by that time, most of the bugs were already fixed by then and there were good reviews (maybe more of nothing bad reviews). Plus, not much can go wrong right when the phones are pretty similar to the gen before right?

This time though, it’s gonna be like I have a whole brand new phone with new interface. No more home button, no more touch ID, no more swipe ups for playing music/turn on wifi etc. This will be a change for sure. I really hope this phone is worth it for the price since it’s getting more and more expensive.

One of my main reason to get the phone is for the camera.I’ve seen pictures from the iPhone 7plus and they are great! So good that after seeing the pictures taken, I don’t feel like taking anymore cause my pictures feels not good enough. Maybe that’s why I’m slacking behind on my photos these last few months >.<

I do home that I can take better photos with the new iPhone and also sell them at a better price since the quality will be better. Maybe I can sort of cover back the cost of my phone 🙂 One can always dream right? Hehe..

Anyways, what do you think of the new iPhone X?

Sunday – Centennial Park’s Duck Pond

The weather last Sunday was great. It wasn’t really cold and it was also pretty sunny. Since we had time after watching the Spider Man movie, we decided to head over to Centennial Park to feed the ducks again before the sun sets.

Here are some of the photos from Centennial Park’s Duck Pond.

Black Wattle Bay

black wattle bay

“Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky.”
― Rabindranath Tagore, Stray Birds

Here are some photos that I took from Black Wattle Bay that I went over a month ago. I know my blog posts are not really “current” and they are mostly throwbacks of old photos. It’s not every day that I am out and about so sometimes I run out of things to blog about, so I usually do throwbacks. Plus most of the pictures I post on instagram are the ones that are in here. I also don’t post those photos right away. Haha. #ThrowbackQueen

If you’re living in Sydney and you want to go somewhere new for a walk/stroll at the park, here’s a good option. Another plus point for this place is that it is DOG FRIENDLY!

Q on Harris

brunch at q on harris

From time to time, it is always nice to call your friends out and catch up over a meal. Whether it is for dinner or lunch or anything in between. Meeting up to catch up is actually quite healthy for the relationship rather than always conversing over the phone/internet. It’s great that with the internet, one can contact another anywhere in the world! But since we all have friends in that are living not too far away, why not catch up over a meal? Everyone needs to eat too right?

Here are some photos that I took from one of my meet ups with a group of friends.
